I’m Liz Sweales, founder of LOVE.DANCE. We are the only dedicated contemporary dance company in Budapest offering classes for children in English. My mission is simple: to give children a joyful, creative and confidence-building experience through contemporary dance.
Children love LOVE.DANCE because every class invites them to imagine, explore, and create. Together we build dances, experiment with choreography, and share ideas, so each child feels part of something bigger while discovering their own unique voice. With structure and contemporary technique woven in, the result is a balance of skill, creativity, and confidence.
I am also an award-winning, qualified Rambert Grades teacher — and the only provider of this pioneering syllabus in Budapest. Rambert Grades classes give children aged 4+ the chance to follow a structured programme, develop strong technique and creativity, and earn recognised dance qualifications.
I hold a degree in Contemporary Dance from Manchester Metropolitan University, UK, and I am a fully qualified teacher with a PGCE in Dance from Middlesex University, London. I was Head of Performing Arts at Westminster Academy, a large secondary school in central London.
In 2015 I founded LOVE.DANCE in Shanghai, where I taught contemporary dance to primary-aged children, launched an adult dance programme for the local community, and created a youth dance film, Missing Space. Since relocating to Budapest, I have continued to grow LOVE.DANCE by leading contemporary dance programmes in international schools, offering adult classes, and developing unique sessions such as “Yo Baby!”, “On the Move”, and “After Party” — creative classes designed to immerse children in the world of dance.
